During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was redeployed to an overnight public health service supporting East and North Hertfordshire. In 2021, she undertook a twelve-week secondment with the Children’s Safeguarding Team as a Paediatric Liaison and Safeguarding Children Nurse, transitioning to the role full time in 2022. In July that year, she began her current post as a Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner with Hertfordshire Partnership University Foundation NHS Trust.

Therese’s contribution to nursing has been recognised nationally. She was awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse in December 2023 and qualified as a Professional Nurse Advocate in 2024.

Above all, Therese is a proud nurse. She is passionate about the nursing ethos, the importance of safeguarding, and maintaining high standards of care, while supporting and empowering colleagues to achieve the same.
