Sarah Pearse 

Lead nurse, North West Londond Virtual Hospital

Sarah is a registered nurse and has worked in the NHS for over 20 years. She trained in Nottingham and holds a Masters in Clinical Research from Imperial College. Her clinical background is Emergency Medicine and she has held a wide range of leadership roles, primarily in Emergency, Acute and Specialist Medicine, and digital health. She was one of the joint clinical leads for the previous NHSE London region Virtual Ward programme.

Sarah took up post as the first Lead Nurse for the North West London Virtual Hospital in October 2022. The NWLVH provides a centralised remote monitoring service for patients on many different clinical pathways across the sector, working closely with 4 acute trusts as well as a variety of community partners. The service is currently expanding to cover the new ICB footprint and a diverse population of 4.5 million people over 13 boroughs. Sarah’s role encompasses the strategic, operational and clinical aspects of the service. She is particularly committed to improving patient and public involvement, flexible employment opportunities/new ways of working and good clinical governance.
