Sarah is currently a Consultant Nurse within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and is also the Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Learning Disability Forum Steering Committee.  Sarah has 27 years of experience working in the NHS in a variety of learning disability and autism settings, across clinical, operational and programme management roles.  Sarah qualified as a learning disability nurse in 2004, and since then has developed specialist knowledge and skills in the areas of physical health and health inequalities for people with a learning disability and autistic people, including autism diagnosis, training and support.
