Dr. Sadie Lavelle Cafferkey holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, specialising in rural addiction and nurse-led models of care. She is also a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Chester, with expertise spanning clinical practice, education, and research. A Registered Nurse and Midwife, Sadie holds an MSc in Addiction Recovery, a Higher Diploma in Midwifery, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Statistics. Her research focuses on rural health equity, substance use and recovery pathways, digital health in underserved areas, and the integration of advanced nursing roles into primary and community care.
