Raluca Oaten is a Policy and Research Fellow at the Florence Nightingale Foundation, where she leads work within the Policy and Influence Think Tank. Her role focuses on amplifying the voice of nurses and midwives through evidence-based policy, research, and thought leadership.

With a background as an Intensive Care Clinical Nurse and a Master’s in Adult Nursing (100% dissertation) from Oxford Brookes University, Raluca brings clinical insight to national and international policy projects. Her work aims to embed professional expertise into healthcare policy and strengthen political understanding across the workforce.

Raluca also serves as a Trustee for the Council of Deans of Health, contributing to governance and strategic direction. As an assistant editor for Nurse Education Today, she helps shape thinking in nursing education.

Through all roles, Raluca is committed to inclusive leadership, critical thinking, and improving health and care through policy, education, and research.
