Rachel Drury
Nurse Lead Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Training Hub, General Practice
Rachel Drury is a registered nurse with over 20 years’ experience, in secondary care, the private sector and is currently employed in primary care for the last 9 years. Rachel has a few roles, is working as the nurse lead at Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s Training Hub, still practising in a busy GP surgery for 2 days and leads a women’s health clinic on weekends.
Rachel is making a difference in general practice by supporting new to practice nurses, training, increasing student nurse placements and introducing a legacy nurse mentoring programme to support the nurse teams across the county.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys pottering in her allotment and experimenting growing new crops, as well as running and is currently training for the London Marathon in 2026.
