Philip Winterbottom

Philip Winterbottom has worked as a registered nurse and manager for more than 15 years in various mental health and social care settings. In the past few years, he has held dedicated UK-wide safeguarding roles for the two largest independent mental health providers. He teaches safeguarding leadership to master’s students as an honorary fellow at the Institute for Health and Social Care, Buckinghamshire New University. He is vice-chair of the NHSE Safeguarding Adults National Network, chairs the Independent Health Providers Safeguarding Forum and represents the independent sector in a number of national forums and reference groups.
