I joined Capita as a Functional Specialist in 2018 and progressed to a managerial role in 2022. My background is physiotherapy with specialisation in prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation. My 2 year physiotherapy working experience, excluding the functional specialist role, encompasses acute, orthopaedic, and geriatric rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, outpatients musculoskeletal treatment and respiratory care. The Functional Specialist role is very dynamic. Learning in this role is an unending journey. Gaining a varied experience in a multitude of health conditions and how this impacts claimants’ daily life expands your clinical knowledge and puts soft skills into practice.
