Lucy is the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) and a passionate advocate for the nursing profession, committed to amplifying the voices of nurses and ensuring their contributions are recognised and respected. She represents nursing professionals across executive forums and national platforms and contributes to media and policy discussions on key healthcare issues.

Originally qualifying as a registered nurse and midwife in Nairobi, Kenya, she later relocated to England, where she completed a BSc in Health and Community Studies and an MSc in Public Health from the University of the West of England. She is also a trained public health practitioner and is currently undertaking an ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

A sought-after speaker, Lucy presents on global stages and advocates for the rights of women and marginalised communities. Her work outside of healthcare includes authorship of three books and a love for music as a singer.
