Lucy joined the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare in March 2024 initially as the Clinical Delivery Lead for the KitNewCare, part of the EU key funding programme for innovation and research to tackle climate change and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Lucy is now the Development Director for Centre for Sustainable Healthcare leading on partnerships and business development.
In addition to her role at CSH, Lucy is also the Head of Sustainability at Circle Health Group, leading the transformation across 54 hospitals to embed sustainable initiatives and cut carbon out of the health system.
Lucy is dedicated to enabling and leading sustainable change in healthcare. She is a proud registered Children’s nurse, Visiting Fellow at the Health Business School at the Health Sciences University and an award winning senior clinical leader having held a number of Director of Nursing strategic posts across our health systems. Lucy has an MSc in Critical Care Nursing specialising in Paediatrics where she was awarded the Dorothy Clarke award for the most outstanding thesis for reducing barotrauma in intubated PICU patients. Lucy has authored her first book with Elsevier due for release next year - A Call to Action: A practical guide for nurses and midwives to lead sustainable change.
Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and commitment to enabling nurses to lead sustainable healthcare change.
