Loraine Mahachi is a Registered Nurse, Specialist Practitioner, Professional Nurse Advocate, researcher, nurse innovator and accomplished healthcare leader with extensive expertise spanning clinical specialist, education, cancer transformation, and digital health innovation. She has a passion for transforming healthcare through education, workforce development, and digital innovation.

With extensive experience leading endoscopy services within the NHS, she has championed quality improvement, staff wellbeing, and the development of future nursing talent throughout her career.

A published author and contributor to national endoscopy guidance, Loraine has been involved in research and service improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, workforce development, immersive nurse training, and professional advocacy. 

Her work has been recognised through collaborations with NHS organisations, academic institutions, and professional bodies to advance excellence in nursing practice and endoscopy care.

As the founder of EndoNurseVR, the UK's first nurse-led, women-led designed virtual reality training platform for endoscopy, Loraine is pioneering the use of immersive technology to enhance clinical education and workforce readiness. Inspired by challenges encountered in frontline practice, EndoNurseVR was created to provide realistic, accessible, and engaging learning experiences that strengthen confidence, competence, and patient-centred care.
