Lisa Blake

Lisa has worked within general practice for over 20 years and is currently working 3 days a week at South Wigston Health Centre. The remaining 2 days, Lisa is nurse lead for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Trainng Hub. In this role her key priorites are around recruitment and retention of general practice staff,

developing primarycare workforce and increasing student nurse placements.

I have been involved in podcasts, developing professional programmes delivering education sessions to general practice staff and guest lecturing to our local undergraduate nursing students.

Lisa's other roles include being an academic assessor with the Open University, where she supports on the nursing apprenticeship and nursing associate apprenticeship programme.

Although spare time is limited, she finds long walks with her dog relaxing as well as training for the London marathon.
