Leema Philip Kuttiyil

Leema is a dedicated and compassionate nurse academic with extensive clinical nursing experience across the United Kingdom, Oman, and India. She is highly skilled in clinical practice, teaching, research, leadership, and service improvement within higher education. As a registered Nurse Teacher and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she demonstrates a strong commitment to student learning, professional development, leadership, and quality improvement in healthcare education.
Her current responsibilities include serving as the Course Director for the B.Sc. Adult Nursing course at Coventry University. She is also the practice lead for second-year undergraduate students and acts as the module leader for two practice modules and one theory module. In this capacity, Leema teaches and assesses pre-registration nursing students, ensuring alignment with NMC standards of education. She is actively engaged in designing and delivering lessons, simulation-based learning, and clinical skills sessions. In addition, she supports student development through her role as a personal tutor, with a particular focus on guiding international students. She also contributes to curriculum design, technology-enhanced learning, and clinical competency assessments.
