Josh Pagden is Chief Nursing Information Officer for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Community and Hospitals NHS Group.
A nurse and experienced healthcare leader, he leads clinical digital transformation for the Trust working closely with partners across the region, suppliers and the wider digital health network. He has a clear focus on making technology work for patients and frontline teams.
Josh has led major programmes covering electronic patient records, digital nursing documentation, clinical communication, artificial intelligence and workflow redesign. He is also a Clinical Safety Officer, with expertise in digital governance, clinical risk, adoption and benefits realisation.
His approach is practical, collaborative and outcomes focused: leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safer care, measurable improvements and a better experience for colleagues.
He chairs the Midlands CNIO and Digital Leads Forum, bringing clinical and digital leaders together to share learning and accelerate change. His wider interests include nursing informatics, clinical safety, responsible AI and the evaluation of technology-enabled care.
