Jacqui began her nursing career in Birmingham in 1985, initially specialising in neurosciences. In 1995, she transitioned into community nursing, taking up a role within an inner-city GP practice serving a population affected by significant deprivation and health inequalities. This experience strengthened her commitment to addressing the wider social determinants of health and supporting communities with complex needs.

In 1998, Jacqui moved into the field of homelessness and inclusion health, working directly with people experiencing homelessness and the multiple adversities that can affect both physical and mental wellbeing. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive expertise in inclusion health, particularly in the development of addiction services and primary care provision for marginalised populations. Her work has consistently focused on reducing barriers to healthcare, improving access to services, and advocating for individuals who often experience some of the poorest health outcomes in society.

Prior to joining Pathway, Jacqui played a key role in developing a specialist service within University Hospitals Birmingham to support the safe discharge of patients experiencing homelessness, helping to ensure continuity of care and reduce the risks associated with unsuitable discharge and address health inequalities.

In her current role, providing clinical support to the Pathway Partnership Programme, Jacqui continues to champion equitable healthcare and service development, striving to improve outcomes and drive meaningful change for people affected by homelessness and health inequalities.
