Georgina is Head of Nursing at Priory, one of the UK’s largest independent mental health and social care providers, deputising for the Chief Nurse and providing senior professional leadership across a workforce of approximately 2,000 registered nurses. 

Georgina’s portfolio spans nursing workforce and professional practice, education and development, Quality Improvement, professional regulation and workforce transformation.

A registered Mental Health Nurse, Georgina has held roles across both the NHS and independent healthcare sector. She has a particular interest in translating strategy into meaningful improvements in clinical practice and the experience and development of nurses.

Georgina led the development of Priory’s digital preceptorship programme, which achieved the NHS England National Preceptorship Quality Mark and subsequently won a Nursing Times Digital Award. Her current work includes developing new nursing career and education pathways, embedding Quality Improvement across services, and exploring how AI can support nurse education and clinical reasoning.

Alongside her substantive role, Georgina is an Honorary Senior Lecturer and a Committee Member of the RCN’s Education Forum and is currently undertaking an MSc in AI Implementation in Healthcare at the University of Birmingham.
