Gemma Stacey
Programme director, Nursing Now Challenge, Burdett Trust For Nursing
Gemma Stacey is Programme Director of the Nursing Now Challenge, a global movement funded by Burdett Trust for Nursing that supports student and early career nurses and midwives to lead and shape health services wherever they work. A registered mental health nurse, she is also Professor of Health and Care System Resilience at Nottingham Trent University, where her research looks at the conditions that enable the workforce to thrive and what helps nurses influence the systems around them.
Gemma has spent much of her career making the case that leadership and influence are not reserved for those at the top of an organisation. At Nursing Live she will facilitate a workshop on influencing from where you are, joined by members of the Nursing Now Challenge community who have found ways to shape decisions and change practice from every level of the profession. Expect practical ideas, honest conversation and space to think about the influence you already hold.
