Macmillan CNS Development Lead, North Central London Cancer Alliance

Liz Quaglia is currently working as a Macmillan CNS Development Lead (CDL) across North Central London (including Royal Free London Group, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Whittington Health NHS Trust and Royal National Orthopedic Hospital NHS Trust). The CNS Development Lead pilot is a joint funded initiative lead by Macmillan Cancer Support and NHS England with the aim of supporting and tailoring the development needs of the CNS workforce and educating aspiring new CNSs across the five London ICS geographies.

Her career spans general oncology, SACT services, research nursing, site specific CNS roles, and specialist nursing in community palliative care. Her most recent clinical role was leading the CNS team in the Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit at The Royal Free Hospital. Liz is passionate about advanced nursing practice, patient care, and empowering nurses. She is a nurse prescriber, holds an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice (Cancer and Clinical reasoning) and is a Self-belief Coach, accredited to the International Coaching Federation.
