Dave Clarke is UK Associate Director for Education at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), where he provides strategic leadership on nursing education and works to influence policy and practice across the UK. With more than two decades of experience in higher education, Dave has held senior academic leadership roles including Professor of Nursing, Deputy Head of School, and Dean and Head of School.

His leadership has focused on creating inclusive cultures, strengthening educational quality, developing people and enabling collaboration across professional and organisational boundaries.

Dave has extensive experience in nursing education, professional regulation and nursing education workforce development, including work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and national policy development. He is particularly interested in the future of nursing education, practice learning, educational leadership, inclusion and the sustainability of the nursing academic workforce.
