Daljit is currently the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust where she joined in August 2022. Before this, Daljit was the Chief Nurse at George Eliot Hospital for 4 years.
Daljit is an experienced senior nurse who has worked in many different roles across the NHS, in acute and community settings and has also held several regional and national roles. She is passionate about the care excellence and devolved leadership models to engage with clinical teams and service users to make quality improvements for patients.
Daljit’s previous roles included Deputy Chief Nurse at Nottingham University Hospitals and Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals. She was also one of the first Nursing Fellows within the CNO for England’s team where she led on a national initiative to improve End of Life Care in acute hospitals. Daljit also worked as Head of Quality at the Trust Development Authority and Director of Quality Governance at Kettering General Hospital and has a successful track record in working within Trusts to drive quality and safety improvements resulting in regulatory improvements.
