Claire is a registered mental health nurse and is the Nursing Training Development Lead and the ‘Facilitating Reflective Practice Groups’ Course Lead at Tavistock Education and Training, North London NHS Foundation Trust. Claire has been involved in developing and delivering training for nurses and allied health professionals for approx. 28 years. Her previous roles include Nurse Consultant, Specialist mental health worker in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and Senior Clinical Charge Nurse.

Claire has an MSc in Institutional and Community Care and an MA in Consulting and Leading in Organisations. She has a long standing interest in the impact of healthcare work on health professionals, with a particular focus on the application of psychoanalytic concepts to develop understanding of experience. She has been involved in leading and providing reflective practice training for health professionals as well as developing and providing psychodynamically informed training for nurses and other professionals, exploring the impact of this on areas such as understanding of patients, satisfaction at work and sense of wellbeing.
