Anna Hancock
Active member of the RCN bladder and bowel forum
Anna has been an active member of the RCN Bladder and Bowel Forum, initially contributing to the working party that updated the RCNi e‑Continence Learning Resource. She later joined the forum committee, co‑editing the RCN Catheter Care guidance, developing specialist webinar programmes on bladder and bowel dysfunction, and supporting the planning and delivery of the highly successful Bladder and Bowel Forum Conference. Anna has represented the forum at parliamentary roundtable events and contributed to discussions within the All‑Party Parliamentary Continence Committee, advocating for improved continence care and health equity at national level. She is also collaborating with RCN Bladder and Bowel Forum link nurses to develop new RCN guidance for nurses caring for children and young people with daytime urinary incontinence.
Alongside her national work, Anna leads service transformation focused on embedding effective, personalised bladder and bowel care within emerging Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs). Her work emphasises early intervention, prevention, neighbourhood‑level collaboration, and improving access to expert continence support as close to home as possible.
