Amina is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a diverse clinical background and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. She has worked across a wide range of services including Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services, Adult Mental Health, Older Adult services, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, Rehabilitation, and specialist settings such as Mother and Baby Units. These experiences have given her a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of mental health across the lifespan.

In addition to her RMN qualification, Amina is a trained Tissue Viability Nurse and a qualified “Train the Trainer” in Moving and Handling, enabling her to deliver safe and holistic care that integrates both physical and psychological needs. She is also a Professional Nurse Advocate, reflecting her commitment to staff support, quality improvement, and well-being within clinical teams.

Amina currently manages a Children and Young People’s inpatient ward, where she leads a multidisciplinary team and oversees the daily operations of the service. Her leadership style is collaborative, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment. She is particularly dedicated to staff development, service quality, and meaningful patient involvement.

Alongside her professional role, Amina is undertaking her second Master’s degree, demonstrating her ongoing dedication to professional growth. Her academic pursuits continue to enhance her clinical practice, leadership capability, and strategic contributions to the development of mental health services.
