Alison Gigg

Alison’s expertise encompasses operational leadership, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance. She has developed and delivered comprehensive fleet-wide training programmes, actively engages in recruitment initiatives, and provides out of hours operational support to shipboard medical teams. Her tenure with Carnival UK exceeds ten years, including previous service as Senior Nursing Officer on board before transitioning to her current shoreside role.

Her early nursing career was rooted in Emergency Nursing, Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care, and Coronary Care, laying the groundwork for her commitment to patient safety, mentorship, and clinical excellence. Alison holds multiple professional credentials and is widely recognised for her integrity, collaborative leadership, and dedication to advancing nursing practice through education, innovation, and compassionate care.
