Following slow progress in hospital after waking up from a coma, Adam came to live at Greenside Court – an Exemplar Health Care home.

At first, he was only able to blink. Yet, with the support of a multidisciplinary team and through his role as a Service User Ambassador, Adam has regained both independence and enjoyment for life.

The Service User Council brings together residents from across Exemplar Health Care to share ideas, give honest feedback and drive meaningful change.

“Being a Service User Ambassador makes me feel like more than just a resident. I’ve been involved in lots of things such as training colleagues, writing policies and interviewing new colleagues. I can bring things to the Service User Council that can improve people’s lives – I love my role!”

Now in a Regional Ambassador role, Adam inspires change both internally, and externally, to other organisations and industry professionals.
