Nursing Live gets backing of major healthcare brands, employers, NHS trusts, universities & training providers

From sleep-pods to scrubs, choirs to cruise ships, discount schemes to devices, there’ll be something for all nursing staff to discover at Liverpool’s ACC this November

Nursing Live has revealed details of some of the leading medical businesses, NHS trusts, healthcare organisations, universities, and major brands, which will be supporting  the event when it opens its doors in Liverpool this November.

AstraZeneca, as the headline sponsor, has committed to supporting and facilitating a series of industry-leading symposia focused on Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM) conditions as well as chronic respiratory and immune-mediated diseases.

Disruptive health education provider FuturU is sponsoring Nursing Live’s Learning & Development Zone. They will be showcasing their extensive portfolio of online courses, and supporting several expert presentations based on the importance of lifelong learning and the value of professional development.

LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare are sponsoring Nursing Live’s Compassion Café, and will be hosting a workshop dedicated to dealing with the impact of compassion fatigue.

And Liverpool John Moores University has signed-up to be Nursing Live’s official university partner. In addition to contributing to discussion panels about the student nurse experience, Liverpool John Moores will be sponsoring the Nursing Live Choir, a project which will see nursing staff being coached by the award-winning Funky Voices choir to perform live at the event.

Employers attending Nursing Live - who will be offering a wide range of diverse and exciting nursing jobs - include the global cruise business Carnival UK, specialist care provider Elysium Healthcare, and the Army.

The NHS’s Return to Practice programme will also be present, highlighting how former nurses, and other medical professionals, can find supportive pathways back into healthcare.

Several leading NHS trusts, such as Greater Glasgow and Clyde, North Tees and Hartlepool, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and South West Yorkshire, alongside charities like Children’s Hospice South West, will be at Nursing Live to promote career opportunities.

Other charities and NGOs set to exhibit include Marie Curie, the Royal Voluntary Service, The Brain Tumour Charity, Haemochromatosis UK, and Capella.

The university sector will be well-represented at the event. Alongside Liverpool John Moores, representatives from the Open University, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University College London, and the University of Chester, will be in attendance.

In addition to discovering new career options and professional development opportunities, Nursing Live delegates will be able to explore an array of medtech products, medical devices, and new digital services.

Florence will be presenting their groundbreaking workforce matchmaking platform (which gives agency staff quick and direct access to available shifts), while Healthy.io will be demonstrating their latest suite of Minuteful smartphone apps. Further, Restworks will be showcasing their advanced sleep pods and therapeutic massage chairs, and explaining how napping can help combat fatigue and boost well-being.

Leading workwear and footwear suppliers, including Alexandra, Birkenstock, and Alsico’s healthcare division Meltemi, will also be exhibiting, as will the NHS’ official products, services and food supplier, NHS Supply Chain.

And for when nursing staff have some well-earned time off, the Blue Light Card scheme will be at Nursing Live to share with delegates details of all latest shopping deals, leisure offers and restaurant discounts they can access if they sign-up for membership.

Rachel Armitage, Managing Director of RCNi, said: “It’s fantastic that the inaugural Nursing Live has had such high levels of interest from so many leading brands, businesses and service providers. Nursing staff attending will be able to discover everything from the latest healthcare apps to dynamic career opportunities through our different exhibition zones, while our sponsored-led sessions will explore key topics such as personal well-being and new clinical interventions. The fact we’ve got a sponsor for initiatives like the Nursing Live choir is also great, and the support of all our commercial partners is going to help make this whole event really special."

With many more leading brands and businesses still to be announced, and an incredible line-up of senior nursing leaders, specialist practitioners and industry experts already confirmed as speakers, Nursing Live is set to be the must-attend event for all nursing staff this year.
