Ruth Bailey

Ruth Bailey is a nurse with 40 years of experience, now working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Sexual Health in Primary Care. Ruth supports patients with their contraception choices, cervical screening, sexual wellbeing and menopause management. She is an experienced non-medical prescriber, LARC fitter, Faculty Registered Trainer, cervical screening mentor and British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialist.

Ruth is the Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Women’s Health Forum and Forum’s Chair’s Group and is a nurse activist in the South East Region. She has contributed to a broad range of campaigns, resources and publications. She is the Nurse representative on the Council of the College of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and in 2022 was awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse.

Ruth passionately believes in the transformative power of Nursing practice and is delighted to be participating in Nursing Live for the first time.
