Poppy Brooks

Poppy Brooks has 23 years experience of cardiology nursing. Initially as a CCU nurse as Southampton General Hospital, where she also worked as an ACS Nurse Specialist and Ward Sister.
Poppy moved to Devon in 2015 which is when she became a community Heart Failure Clinical Nurse Specialist. Currently Poppy is the Lead Nurse for Cardiac Support Services in the northern site of Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Within this role she leads an integrated heart failure service, arrhythmia care and cardiac rehabilitation.
Poppy holds a Masters Degree in Acute Medicine, and has studied other stand alone masters modules in heart failure care, non medical prescribing and clinical assessment skills. Poppy is proud to have Chaired the British Society for Heart Failure (BSH) Nurse Forum from 2021-2023 and is current Councillor to the BSH Board of Trustees.
