Joshi Prabhu is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the University of Salford and an NMC-registered nurse with a dynamic background in clinical practice, digital innovation, and research. Her expertise lies in inclusive digital pedagogy, where she integrates podcasting, gamification, and AI-driven learning tools to enhance engagement and equity in nursing education.

She has worked as a Clinical Application Analyst in a large NHS trust, contributing to the transformation of Electronic Patient Records (EPR) to improve clinical workflows and patient safety. Her experience in digital nursing also includes leading educational initiatives as a Digital Health Nursing Champion and contributing to a book chapter on nursing in the digital age—bridging the gap between technology and practice.

Joshi’s clinical research portfolio focuses on diabetes technology, including closed-loop/artificial pancreas systems, continuous glucose monitoring, and implantable devices for resistant hypertension. She has contributed to national and international studies, including COVID-19 vaccine trials.

Currently, Joshi is exploring the role of podcasting in nursing education, investigating its impact on engagement, communication, and inclusion. She is the creator and host of Nurses Beyond Borders, a podcast series amplifying the voices of internationally educated nurse academics in the UK through digital storytelling.

Her contributions have been recognised through multiple award nominations, including the Greater Manchester Clinical Research Award and MFT Excellence Awards. A published poet, she uses creative expression to explore themes of identity, inclusion, and nursing. Through digital innovation and pedagogical creativity, Joshi is committed to transforming nursing education for a more inclusive and globally aware future.
