Ms Sainsbury is a registered adult and mental health nurse and has worked in community older persons mental health services. She joined #TeamFNF in 2021 as a research and policy associate and has led the Student Councils Programme in the south east of England with support from Health Education England (South East).

Her special interests include clinical supervision, professional use of social media and shared professional decision-making. With extensive experience of advocating for and shining a light on students and early career nurses and midwives, she is passionate about promoting and sharing opportunities for all with an aim to increase the number of nurses and midwives at decision-making tables at a local, system, regional, national and international level.

Ms Sainsbury is a professional nurse advocate and has been chair of the Clinical Supervision Subject Expert Group since its establishment in 2020.
