Jennifer de Val is medication safety officer and associate chief pharmacist for clinical governance at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. With more than 17 years’ experience in hospital pharmacy, having worked at a number of large NHS teaching trusts, she also has a strong clinical pharmacy background from her significant experience in critical care and anticoagulation services. Ms de Val chaired the West Midlands regional medication safety officers network for a number of years, and continues to be passionate about the field of medication safety.
