Dr Dilla Davis is a lecturer and Researcher at Kings College, London. She has enjoyed various roles as Lecturer, Clinical Teaching Fellow (University of Manchester), Education Development Practitioner and Practice Education Facilitator during her 22-year nursing career. Her PhD focused on lifestyle changes and self-management experiences of South Asians diagnosed of cardiovascular disease.

At Kings, she is the Program lead of BSc Nursing program (Hons), in partnership with Ngee Ann Academy, Singapore. She is engaged in education of undergraduates, postgraduate post qualified students and research. She serves as a supervisor and mentor to postgraduates and PhD students.

She is currently leading the research in Collaborative autoethnographically exploration of transition journey of Internationally Educated Nurses to western healthcare and academia.

She led the research and co-led the campaign to ease the registration process for overseas nurses working as unregistered practitioners in UK. The campaign spearheaded a major change in registration policy of the Nursing and Midwifery Council regarding overseas nurse registration. The work was awarded 2023 HSJ workforce initiative of the year award and highly commended in the NHS Race Equality category.

She has appeared at several national and international conferences (International Council of Nurses, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, RCN international Research, British Sociological Association) and her articles are published in Nursing standard, Nurse Researcher, Journal of Nursing Management, Journal of Clinical Nursing, and contemporary Nurse.

She was awarded the Research impact Award 2023, Nominated for Kings Engaged Researcher Network award 2024.
